HVAC Service Technician

TAG Refrigeration, a TAG Company, is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to support commercial and industrial customers in and around the Dallas (Forth Worth), TX area.


Role Summary

The HVAC/R Technician is responsible for performing service, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. This role plays a key part in maintaining Chiller Systems Service’s reputation for best-value solutions, fast response times, accountability, and transparent customer communication. The ideal candidate enjoys variety, technical challenges, and building long-term customer relationships.

This role focuses exclusively on commercial and industrial HVAC systems — no restaurant work.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair mechanical and electrical components of commercial and industrial HVAC systems
• Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, RTUs, split systems, vane axial fans, and specialty cooling systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and compliance drawings
• Perform minor piping repairs on HVAC equipment
• Operate equipment and complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks
• Interact directly with owners, property managers, and building engineers
• Provide repair recommendations and assist with quoting equipment repairs or replacements
• Maintain clear communication with customers and internal teams
• Participate in on-call rotation as required
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and best practices


Skills and Qualifications

• 3–5 years of commercial HVAC experience
• Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
• High level of integrity and professionalism
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds regularly
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Clean driving record and ability to operate a company vehicle

Preferred Qualifications

• HVAC or refrigeration-related education or technical certifications
• Universal EPA certification
• Prior commercial or industrial chiller and boiler experience
