Health and Safety Manager

As an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager, you will be responsible for managing EHS programs that are critical to the successful execution of our core business functions. You will collaborate closely with the EHS and Human Resource teams as well as Operations to execute effective EHS initiatives, programs and policies. This role requires subject matter expertise in EHS disciplines, specifically around COR Certification as well as familiarity with EHS metrics and KPIs.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- EHS Program Management: Oversee various strategic programs that positively impact safety culture, such as Incident Management, Safe Driving, Telematics/Dash-Cam technology, Risk Management.
- Compliance: Liaise with provincial agencies pertaining to compliance in EHS disciplines, such as OHS, WorkSafe, WHMIS, and other regulatory bodies.
- Partnership with Operations: Engage with local leadership and influence decision making processes to positively impact cultural change around EHS disciplines.
- Root Cause Analysis: Understand the lifecycle of an incident, methodologies for root cause analysis and successful execution of lessons learned.
- Data Analysis: Subject Matter Expertise in EHS metrics and a clear vision of organization impact of metrics and KPIs. Utilize enterprise data collection processes.
- Collaborate across origination: Ensure alignment of goals to support the global enterprise.
Education/Experience Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in EHS discipline (Safety Management) or related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with digital EHS solutions, such as learning management systems, incident management suites, training platforms, etc.
- Industry specific certifications from accredited organizations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
